day 2 - Tuesday. went to the hotel orientation to get ideas on what to do. went to a yoga class. tried to go to diamond head - no place to park up top or down below. went to punchbowl memorial, then drove by trippler army medical center (it's pink!) had trouble finding a spot to eat, finally found a strip mall with a ramen house and a subway for Matt! went to the air museum, walked by the uss Missouri and got shave ice. we went to the starting point for the Arizona memorial but it was too late to go out, however the kids had a blast playing in a conning tower from an old submarine. we got into lovely rush hour traffic and it took us an hour to get back to the hotel, but the kids had fun playing with Matt's two planes that he bought with his own money! hit the beach to boogie board through sunset then the pool until it closed and then snack bar dinner and drinks at the barefoot bar!
