five years old!

kaitlyn is 5 years old! she wanted a big birthday party so we decided to rent the gymnastics gym at the y for the party - it worked great! the kids ran themselves silly and we just provided cupcakes and icecream (cherry chip cupcakes - per kaitlyn's request) a lot of her school friends came and of course abby (matching dresses!) and hayden. unfortunately matt missed festivities because of croup - but he didn't mind too much. he had fun playing with the gift bags afterwards.

chrismtas stockings - a little late

well after three years in a row of saying i was going to make stockings, i finally made them - not in time for christmas 08 - but at least in plenty of time for christmas 09! also have some pics of how the kids entertained themselves while i sewed . matt by playing chicken with the sewing machine needle (really i didn't run the machine while he was on the table) and kaitlyn and hb singing. also some various cat pics and the highlight of zoolights this year - the carousel!
