cousins - thanksgiving fun

well all the cousins got together for thanksgiving. they had lots of very noisy fun! Freya even got into the mix a little. No really good pictures because - well - it's hard enough to get two kids to pose much less five! anyway here's a few pics. Also pics of matt's leg decorations and kat's new haircut (that mommy had to pay for after she attempted to cut her own hair).

Carolyn Hansen Connors

Carolyn has been one of my very closest friends since our first year of veterinary school 11 years ago. We shared the same love of cats and dislike of theriogenology and we were there for each other through many ups and downs of school and after. Though she moved to Florida after school and I moved, well lots of places, we stayed very close and I had hoped we always would be. Unfortunately she died of unknown causes after a a very well-lived but far too short life. She was a wonderful person who touched many lives and she will never be forgotten.

Halloween

Well i don't have any real good pics of all the kids in their costumes becaue - well they weren't always terribly cooperative. they did have fun though with abby and hayden coming up for a hallowwen carnival on saturday and back up for halloween (where as you can see we trick or treated at papa murphy's!)

a little bit sad post

the kids have ben having a lot of fun lately, but have been missing their mor far mor. Mor far mor (great grandma) passed away at the end of september. we did have a very good service for her and got to meet people whose lives she had touched - that was very nice. i am not sure if kaitlyn will remember her- but i have some special things of hers and will be able to tell her and matt good stories about all of her greats. but the cousins did enjoy seeing each other at and after the services - freya is getting big - pretty soon she will just blend in with the rest of the screaming happy chaos!

wild waves - puyallup fair

kids had fun with grandma mom and dad at wild waves, then the very next day hadfun with mom, grandma and the cousins (and gracie!) at the puyallup!

had fun playing with a new cousin! (freya) and with the old cousins (abby and hayden) at the sww fair (lewis county). matt liked the sheep and the girls liked the lollipops and the rides.

lots of fun recently - enjoying the wading pool at wright park (though matt looks like he's doing hard time - staring throught the fence!) had fun with bubble tub at ethnic fest then played with cousins and friend graccie at zoocinema and got to see happy feet out under the stars!

fun at home

hi there are a couple of new posts. tony finally home - soon as he got home we took off to vegas for a wedding and vacation, then as soon as we got back we tore up the living room carpet and had the floors done so difficult to get near the computer - the whole process took a little longer than we wanted (floor guys didn't always show up when they said) but can't really complain - looks good and was quite a deal really. unfortunately they started right in before we realized it and we didn't have time to drape off all the stuff we had in the dining room so we had quite a process of dust removal! anyway done now - finally moved back in to the living room for the most part. cousins were up during our rainy season - having lots of fun! and kaitlyn is eating carrots from our own veggie garden (we have a mini garden with carrots, corn, peas and pumpkins)

Las Vegas!

Had lots of fun in vegas - went for sonny and christine's wedding. they had lots of fun stuff for kids at the reception - matt and kaitlyn (and moose) especially liked the inflatable guitars. mom came with us to help with kids which was great - they had lots of fun at circus circus, lions at mgm, m and m's store and wavepool and lazy river at the hotel - as you can see they also slept a bit - good thing we brought the double stroller.
