So Cal 1 Disneyland!

First day.  We met my mom at seatac and hopped a plane to the OC.  We picked up a car, dropped out stuff at the hotel near disneyland and headed to torrance to mitsuwa for lunch!  We took a quick trip to the fashion district then to the hotel to play in the pool for a bit.  Then to the LB for dinner at our favorite - Chen's!  orange bean curd and sizzling rice soup - yum! 

Day 2 - California adventure!  looked at carsland (didn't go on the big Cars ride the whole week - line never less than 2 hours).  and kaitlyn was finally tall enough to go on california screamin'! a loop de loop roller coaster!  we got off and immediately got back in line to go again!

We went back over to adventure at the end of the day to watch the light show - seen it, done that, don't need to go again - not very exciting.  matt took his first ride on the tower of terror!

 

 

Day 5 Universal Studios!  Studio tram tour - updated and enjoyed by all (mom even handled the slightly claustrophobic tunnels - as did i).  we had fun at the waterworld show, the animal actors show and all agreed that the simpsons wasn't really worth waiting for.

and at the end of the day we headed out east to see mark and his wife carolyn and kids hayden and dax.  their twins are right between our kids in age, so it worked out great and they made us a fantastic dinner!  and they had a pool and hot tub!!!
