So, flying into the sunset and crossing the dateline makes for a very long first day. Left the house before 9am on sunday - got to tony's uncles house around 5:30pm after 16+ hours of travel, airsickness and carsickness! managed to stay up til after 7pm, then crashed! matt was up at 3am the rest of us managed to sleep until 5! too tired to notice much about the new country, but I did notice the signs in the Tokyo restroom that asked you not to squat on the toilet seat and lots of buttons on the toilets (which I am already familiar with thanks to kiwako's house!) Driving home - narrow roadways, narrow cars, tons of bikes - lots with kids loaded on, pachinko parlors, mcdonald's delivery scooters and a chain of convenience stores called Lawson stores!
