little house trip part 1

we took light rail from the airport to the king street station. had lunch at uwajimaya, the boarded and found our roomette for the 48 (supposed to be 43) hour journey to St. Paul, mn. out car attendant, Kevin, was very good and was  good with the kids. the train was fun and I'm glad we did it, but we were ready to get off two days later. we took advantage of all the leg stretching stops and liked the observation car. the food was decent, breakfast was the best - good pancakes and grits. the most beautiful scenery was along the coast north of Seattle . glacier was early morning and socked in with fog and rain.
