for the last few years, the kids' favorite part of the fair has been the homesteading area where they can pump water, do laundry on a washboard, churn butter, grate carrots on a tin washtub poked with holes, saw wood and grind grain. they usually spend over an hour there! they usually get a couple of rides and of course see the animals!
