matt is 3!
Matt had a fun 3rd birthday with sister, daddy and grandma - by the time i got home from work he was tired and just wanted to be pushed in the swing - then promptly fell aspleep (see bottom pic). the day after bday was more eventful. matt had his first day of preschool (he loves his new backpack and did great at school) and was thrilled when he got home with mom and grandma to discover that dad, abby, hayden, grandpa and judy were there to throw him a surprise party!

Oh my gosh, what are the green things made out of?
they are alien cupcakes. a cupcake with a marshmallow and a donut hole plastered on top and dipped into frosting tinted with neon green food coloring. my sister in law got a very fancy cupcake book for christmas - most were out of my league. these turned out pretty well - though not exactly like the picture!
